"Typhoons ARE NOT scrapped for Spares"

The Sunday Express and Daily Mail have run stories stating that almost half of the RAF's Typhoon jets are unable to fly because they don't have the spares and that aircraft have been scrapped to provide them. The MoD hit back saying: "This is not true. We regularly carry out routine maintenance but that does not mean they are undergoing 'repairs'.
