The MoD, in conjunction with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP),
will introduce a new benefit called the Armed Forces Independence
Payment (AFIP) on Mon 8 Apr 13. AFIP is a simplification of the
financial support available for members of the Armed Forces who have
been seriously injured as a result of military service since 6 Apri 05.
